National Southern Food day is January 22 of each year and I couldn’t help but to start thinking about all of the delicious southern recipes I’ve gotten used to while living in the south. I’ve put together a list of a few recipes that are making me salivate just looking at them!

So many restaurants in Atlanta that have a southern flair to their menu will have fried chicken and waffles on the menu. This Fried Chicken and Waffles recipe from Cravings and Crumbs is made with tender, buttermilk fried chicken and savory waffles with maple creme fraiche! Sounds amazing!

There’s something about fried and crunchy cornmeal that’s so addicting that we call these amazing balls Hushpuppies. Simmer & Sauce serves theirs with a maple butter sauce. I need these in my life right now!
