Milkshakes is probably one of my favorite desserts of all time. As a matter of fact, I actually had one yesterday. It was my little guilty pleasure after work. They built a new shopping center a couple miles down the road from me and I had to go and get a milkshake from Chik-fil-a.
I just needed it!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner so I’ve got this festive milkshake for you. Made with our favorite childhood cereal and the marshmallows of course, it makes such a good milkshake!
Of course when I was getting ready to make this milkshake I had to make my own whipped cream. I didn’t feel like going back to the store just to buy whipped cream. I already have heavy whipping cream in my fridge at all times because I put it in my coffee (crazy, right?) so I knew I needed to make the whipped cream homemade for this milkshake.
Isn’t it so pretty?
When I think of St. Patrick’s Day desserts and sweets, I usually think of Shamrock shakes, which sometimes tend to be mint flavored, but I wanted something a little different. I don’t eat much cereal anymore the standard way, but I like to think of ways to create snacks and desserts using some of my favorite childhood cereals. We all know marshmallows are like the best part of Lucky Charms cereal. Right??
I added some cereal into the blender with the milk and ice cream and loved that I tasted the Lucky Charms cereal with every sip of the milkshake.
I will say there were a good 2-3 consecutive days that I made this milkshake.
And it’s not even St. Patrick’s day yet. Haha!
