For my birthday this year I decided to go to Nashville, Tennessee! This was my first time in Nashville and we had a great time!
We began the trip by stopping at Biscuit Love. The line was out the door but was worth the wait. The bonuts. Yep, you read correctly.. BONUTS. They are exactly what you think they are. Donuts made out of biscuit dough topped with some sugar and filled with gooey goodness. This is something you have to try if you are ever in Nashville!
In addition to the bonuts we also got Bloody Mary’s. Very good!
Nashville is known for their spicy fried chicken EVERYTHING. If you don’t like spicy food, well, actually nothing. I LOVE spicy food and couldn’t turn down Biscuit Love’s Fried Chicken Biscuit. Sooo gooooddd!! Plus, there’s pickles on top. Pickles!
We stayed in East Nashville area so we checked out a couple of nearby bars. Mmmmm tasty beer!
The next day we stopped at Mad Donna’s. They had a Bloody Mary brunch bar where you can make your own, and it was great!
I ordered a patty melt with some fresh fruit. I never order sides of fruit because I’m a fatty at heart, but for whatever reason the fruit salad sounded great!
Decided to take a few pictures because despite the rainy, cold weather it was still nice to see the leaves change.
We continued hopping around and went back to a nearby bar and munched on a couple appetizers. I can honestly now say that I’ve tasted fried deviled eggs! I don’t really know how I feel about these… Think I’ll stick to non-fried deviled eggs for a while.
On our way out we stopped at Pancake Pantry, it was recommended that we try it out. This seemed to be a really popular place and was surrounded by a lot of neat shops, boutiques and coffee shops. Next time I’m back in Nashville I’d like to spend some time in this area.
