The great thing about tacos is there’s so many ways to enjoy them! This recipe can be easily modified- the type of tortillas you use, the type of steak, and toppings. This steak tacos are topped with cilantro, red onion, and avocado. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy smothering my tacos with cheese and sour cream but today decided to be a tad healthier :-p
Before I actually made the tacos, I ended up marinating the steak in Mojo seasoning. It’s a citrus marinade and can be found at most grocery stores.
One of the things I really enjoy about making tacos is heating up the tortillas! Heat up the tortillas on a griddle pan or on the stove until they get a good color on them. The texture makes them taste so much better than straight from the bag or microwaved. When they get puffy and golden brown, they’re good to go!
Here are the toppings I decided to go with- cilantro, red onion, jalapeno, avocado, and topped with lime juice.
Here’s for you steak taco with flour tortilla lovers out there.
Mmmm corn tortillas!
